Tournament Details

  • The tournament will feature doubles competitions for men and women (excluding mixed doubles) in both tennis and pickleball.
  • The tournament will include rated players within the following divisions: Women: 2.5-4.5+; Men: 3.0-5.0
  • Clubs will each determine their Sets inCbus representative teams in any manner they wish. Teams will be randomly placed in a single elimination tournament bracket to compete against the other Club teams in their division.
  • A tournament bracket will match club team representatives in a single elimination tournament culminating with finals in each division played on the championship date.
  • Competing teams will have a one-week period to play their assigned matches with the winners advancing to the next round.
  • Earlyround matches will be organized and played between the competitors at times and locations of their choosing within the time period set for the tournament.
  • The finals for women and men in each division will be held at Jefferson Country Club,with an all-day celebration, followed by the awards ceremony and presentation of our aggregate donation check to the American Cancer Society.
  • Winning teams for each level and gender will be crowned the Sets in Cbus Club Champion for 2024 in their respective divisions.

Eligibility Requirements

Participants must

  • Belong to a Greater Columbus racket club.
  • Be registered with national or international tennis and pickleball associations, such as USTA, DUPR and UTPR.
  • Possess a valid player ranking or rating.
  • Commit to a $125 individual registration fee (100% will go to charity).

Competition Cup

  • Each first round match in each division that is played will be worth 1 point for the winning club. Second round matches will be worth 2 points for the winning clubs. Quarterfinal matches will be worth 3 points, Semifinals winners will earn 4 points, and 5 points will be awarded to the clubs whose representative teams win any division.
  • The club(s) with the highest point total will be awarded the inaugural Sets in Cbus: Greater Columbus Club Champion Competition Cup for performance in both the tennis and the pickleball tournaments.
